Coming Up at Sacred Quest

Some of you may be aware that Diane, Michylynn and I have been in Sedona,
Below is a list of workshops that are coming up in the next couple of weeks. We would like remind you that if you have registered in a workshop, even if there is no charge, we need you to let us know if you are not attending. Some workshops fill quickly, so when you register you might be placed on a waiting list. It is not unusual to get into a workshop off the waiting list. As well if we have enough people on the waiting list we will schedule another presentation date to accommodate everyone.
Over the last few months we have been asking that if you are attending a “no-charge” workshop please bring a donation for the AIDS Committee of Durham Region's food bank. We are changing our request for donations to a new non-profit organization called My Sister’s Voice. This organization provides information, support and counselling to women in Durham region marginalized by violence, poverty, abuse or sexual-orientation.

Connection to Spirit Guides
Monday Nov. 9th, , 7 – 9 PM
Facilitator: Kim Etherington
Cost: $20/person
We all have spirit helpers around us. They may be the spirits of those who are important to us and have passed on or they may be seen as angels. Some come in human spirit form, others take the form of animals. The process of recognizing the guides we have helps us realize we are really never alone, even in our darkest moments. This experiential workshop will assist you in opening to, and receiving the guidance of your spirit guides. Please feel free to bring any objects of sacred importance to be placed on our centre altar. If you have pictures or belongings of loved ones who have passed that you would like to bring please do so.
If you would like to register for this workshop please contact the store at 905-666-3010 or email us at sacredquest@rogers.com

Fact or Fiction?
Guest Speakers from the Paranormal Seekers
The Paranormal Seekers was founded in 2004 by Rachel. Along with Jay and other previous members, they started The Paranormal Seekers to investigate the paranormal, make history interesting, and bring back tourism into the surrounding areas. The Paranormal Seekers first major investigation was at the historical Parkwood Estate, located in Oshawa, Ontario.
Using psychic abilities, technology, and research, The Paranormal Seekers have investigated cemeteries, museums, commercial buildings, theatres, and historical sites. With the findings from each investigation, stories are written, filed and posted on the website.
The Paranormal Seekers take their investigations very seriously and have a process to recruit members. All of our members have been through a series of minor investigations, interviews and have a criminal background check processed. They have signed various contracts and meet all requirements. The Paranormal Seekers is a small group, with only 9 members, each having different roles and responsibilities.
The Paranormal Seekers is a registered business but does not profit from any investigations. We do accept, but do not expect donations which we use towards investigations, equipments and needs for the group. There are rules and regulations in which each group member has to abide by. They include a variety of different things, such as no drugs or alcohol, no shiny jewelry, no trespassing, clothing restrictions, age restrictions, etc.
The Paranormal Seekers have investigated many haunted locations throughout Ontario and are always looking for new and exciting places to explore. Along the way, The Paranormal Seekers have been involved in the media including, TV, internet, Radio and various newspapers. The Paranormal Seekers have also held two seminars for the Oshawa Public Library called ‘Oshawa Ghost Stories’ and ‘An Evening of Spooky Tales’.

Wikipedia:
Paranormal is a general term that describes unusual experiences that supposedly lack a scientific explanation,[1] or phenomena alleged to be outside of science's current ability to explain or measure.[2] Notably, paranormal phenomena also lack scientific evidence, as detectable but not well explained phenomena such as dark matter or dark energy are not commonly called paranormal.
In parapsychology, the term has, in the past, been used to describe the supposed phenomena of extra-sensory perception, including telepathy, and psychokinesis, ghosts, and hauntings. It is also applied to UFOs, some creatures that fall under the scope of cryptozoology, purported phenomena surrounding the Bermuda Triangle, and other non-psychic subjects.[3]
Stories relating to paranormal phenomena are found in popular culture and folklore, but the scientific community, as referenced in statements made by organization such as the United States National Science Foundation, contends that scientific evidence does not support paranormal beliefs.[4]
