Our February 6th Concert and Dance raised the most funds of any dance
the AIDS Committee has ever had.
These funds will help to continue our important M2M outreach and LGBTQ Community building efforts within Durham Region.

affirmations in a more effective manner. This experiential workshop will teach
you how to use self-hypnosis to enhance your personal growth work.
Stone Wrapping

For those of you who love crystals, raw or tumbled, this is the workshop that will teach you how to wrap them so you can wear them as an attractive piece of jewellery. If you don't have any stones you can pick a few up at the workshop. You will leave with 3 finished pieces and the skills you need to continue to create your own pieces.
Connecting to Tarot (2 parts)

Is this two part session you will learn to unravel the mystery that is lies
within The Tarot and unlock a world of communication that lies within us all.

Body-Mind Connection (PNI)

It's official - The way we think really does affect our health! We will
look at some ideas from the relatively new science of Psychoneuroimmunology
(PNI). This science studies the connection between psychological processes and
the health of the body.

During this course you will be introduced to the concept of the Shamanic Journey as a means to gain understanding and insight into your own life as well as others. We will address topics such as non-ordinary reality, upper, lower and middle worlds, shamanic healing, soul retrieval, divination and more.

Community Rainbow Church and Healing Service
Everyone is invited to the monthly Christian Church service which includes a HIV/AIDS Healing service. This is an 'open and affirming' congregation. If you do not feel welcome at other churches YOU WILL feel welcome here!
Next Service is: Sunday February 28th, 2010 at 6PM
Mark Hammann will serve as 'Celebrant' at the February and March services while our Pastor Doug Willoughby is away in Africa.

THE DIASPORA COLLECTIVE’S STUDENTS CRAFT 6TH ANNUAL AFRICAN
HERITAGE CELEBRATION PRODUCTION FOR
THEIR COMMUNITY!
J. Clarke Richardson’s Diaspora Collective, presents “The Nappy Routes: A Hair Peace”
~ An African Heritage Month Celebration.

The Diaspora Collective is a character building program focused on critical thinking, communication and positive expression through the arts. Formerly known as the Black History Group, The Diaspora Collective was officially founded September 2006 at J. Clarke Richardson Collegiate Institute. The tenants of the group are Respect, Unity, Empowerment Knowledge and Positive Progression. The Collective’s productions are crafted with the intent to initiate discussion on issues that impact our community and society, serving as part of the antidote to disperse the negative images of youth in our community.
